Weissensee

The Weissensee is located in the eastern Gailtaler Alps in the southwest of Carinthia and is one of the most beautiful bathing lakes in Europe. The Weissensee region, with the municipalities of Weissensee and Stockenboi, was declared a nature park in 2006. The Weissensee is a particularly natural open space. Two-thirds of the 930 m high lakeside are undeveloped and surrounded by dense mountain forests.
